The Royal Armouries museum has a team of dedicated and talented research staff. Their knowledge is wide and varied, with many coming to the field of arms and armour after following other careers.
Within the team we have curators, conservators, scientists and researchers, based throughout our three sites.
The phrase "Lock, stock and barrel" refers to something in its entirety, the whole thing – in the same way that a complete gun has a lock, a stock and a barrel.
