Hunting weapons have evolved over the full period of human history, often being indistinguishable from those same weapons used in warfare.

In later human history more specialised weapons developed. They can all be divided into four categories:

Did you know?

Mass-produced steel

The first mass-production process for making steel was invented by Englishman Henry Bessemer. Rejected by the British his process was adopted by the German gunmaker Alfred Krupp, who became the most advanced armaments manufacturer in Europe.
