Instructor and student at the Royal Armouries Fencing Club in Leeds.

RA Fencing Club

Fencing is one of the oldest combat sports and requires dexterity, skill and speed. Through the use of Foil, Epee or Sabre, fencers not only develop good co-ordination, balance and flexibility but it is a great way of keeping fit for all ages and abilities.

Ever wondered what it would be like to have a go at fencing? Maybe we can unearth a future world champion!

Coaching is provided by Roy Elvin of the British Fencing Association. All equipment and protective clothing will be provided.

Times

The club meets at the museum every Friday.

The whole truth

The phrase "Lock, stock and barrel" refers to something in its entirety, the whole thing – in the same way that a complete gun has a lock, a stock and a barrel.
